Anthony John Crowley, 52, of Minnetonka, pleaded guilty in September to one count of distribution of child sexual abuse material, and two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material were dismissed. He was charged after a 2022 investigation linked illegal online uploads from the messaging platform Kik to him.
Investigators later performed forensic searches of Crowley’s electronic devices that uncovered additional child sexual abuse material.
At the time of his arrest, Crowley was employed as an agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He was suspended indefinitely and has remained in federal custody following his arrest in June 2025.
