Burnsville Coach Charged with Sexually Assaulting Teen Student
A Twin Cities high school volleyball coach is facing felony charges after admitting to multiple sexual encounters with a teenage player over the past several months.
Brooke Emily Reinhardt, 24, of Rosemount, is charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct after police say she had sex with a 17-year-old boy she coached, exchanged explicit messages, and sent him nude photos.
Reinhardt was arrested and has since been released from jail after posting bail, with her next court appearance set for Aug. 6.

The investigation began on July 1, court documents say, when Burnsville police received a report from a man who said Reinhardt had been watching his Burnsville apartment while he was out of town between June 23 and June 29. When he returned, he found the teen’s wallet inside. He told police the boy had no reason to be at his home. When he confronted Reinhardt, she offered no explanation and ended the call.
The teen later told officers that Reinhardt drove him to a practice in Maple Grove on June 28 and waited to take him home afterward. He said he had forgotten his wallet in her car, which is how it ended up at the Burnsville residence. He described Reinhardt as “really nice” and said they had been dating for two to three months. At first, he claimed they had only kissed, but later admitted they had sex at her house in Rosemount and again at the Burnsville apartment on June 28. He also told officers that Reinhardt had sent him nude photos and texted him about condoms. Police confirmed some of the messages on his phone, including one where she told him he “had a lot of things to delete.”
Reinhardt was arrested at her home in Rosemount on July 2. During a Mirandized interview, she initially claimed their contact was limited to her giving him a ride and that he left his wallet behind. But she eventually admitted to a sexual relationship, detailing incidents that included digital penetration and oral sex in her vehicle, as well as intercourse at her house, the teen’s house, and at the Burnsville apartment she was watching. She also admitted to sending him photos of herself nude in the shower.
