BCA Launches New Facebook Page to Help Find Missing Minnesotans

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has launched a new social media initiative to help bring missing and endangered people home faster.

The BCA announced the creation of a new Facebook page, Minnesota Alerts: Missing and Endangered, which will serve as a centralized platform for sharing information and updates about missing persons cases across the state.

The agency previously shared these alerts on its main social media channels, but officials said the new page is meant to make urgent information easier to find, follow and share.

In a message sent to media and social partners, BCA Communications Director Laura Perkins said the goal is to strengthen the reach of time-sensitive alerts by providing a dedicated page focused entirely on missing and endangered people in Minnesota. She encouraged agencies, organizations and media outlets to follow and share the new page to help spread information more quickly when alerts are issued.

Perkins emphasized that public engagement is critical to finding missing people, and that broader social media reach can make a real difference in reuniting families.

The new Facebook page can be found here.
