Once inside, Jones displayed a firearm and took a watch and a PlayStation gaming console without permission, the complaint states. The complaint says Jones used the firearm to prevent the victims from stopping him from taking the items. Jones then left the home with the watch and gaming console.
The people inside the home provided officers with a description of Jones. Officers found a person in the area carrying a backpack that matched the description given by the victims. Inside the backpack, officers found a PlayStation gaming console.
The victims identified the gaming console as the one taken from their home and positively identified Jones as the person who had entered their residence and used a firearm to take the items, according to the complaint. Officers arrested Jones and, during a search, found a firearm on him.
The charge carries a three-year minimum sentence, according to the complaint.
