A Saint Paul man coerced a teenage girl into repeated sex acts by threatening to share explicit videos of her.
Marquise Darnell Perry, 32, faces five felony charges: 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct, sexual extortion involving penetration, disseminating child sexual abuse material, possessing child sexual abuse material and 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to the complaint, police responded to a Saint Paul residence on September 30, 2025, after a woman reported that the victim was being blackmailed by a 30-year-old man with inappropriate videos and photographs. The victim told officers she met Perry in September 2024 when they began working together at a fast food restaurant. She said she told Perry she was 17, while Perry claimed to be 20.

The victim reported that their romantic relationship began in December 2024 and that they had consensual sex. She described one encounter at her home where Perry provided her with cannabis, after which she became intoxicated and later learned, through a video Perry showed her, that they had sex during that time. The victim said she did not recall the encounter until Perry revealed the video in February 2025, after she ended the relationship upon discovering Perry’s real age.
After the breakup, Perry continued to contact the victim through text and social media, sending her the explicit video and threatening to share it unless she had sex with him. The victim told police that Perry coerced her into sex more than 10 times, each time promising to delete the video but failing to do so. She said she deleted the video from Perry’s phone, but he later sent it to her again and repeated his threats.
The victim reported that the last time Perry coerced her into sex was July 4, 2025, when she was still 17. She eventually blocked Perry and changed her phone number, but Perry obtained her new number and continued to send the video and make threats. The victim provided police with screenshots and messages corroborating her account.
Police arrested Perry on October 2, 2025. During questioning, Perry admitted meeting the victim at work and confirmed the authenticity of the conversations and the video, which was sexually explicit. Perry claimed the victim recorded the video and that it had since been deleted, but acknowledged sending it to her and making comments about showing it to others.
He denied pressuring the victim to have sex, but admitted to sending the video and making threats.
Officers seized Perry’s phone and executed search warrants on his social media accounts as part of the investigation. Perry was released from custody following his arrest.
The charges were filed Wednesday, June 17, in Ramsey County District Court.
