Two teenagers were found dead Tuesday afternoon on Saint Paul’s East Side after a family member discovered them unresponsive.

Investigators say there were no signs of foul play.

Saint Paul police were called around 4:35 p.m. on June 9 to the 2100 block of Wilson Avenue for a welfare check, according to the Saint Paul Police Department. A family member had reported finding two people unresponsive inside a vehicle.

Officers arrived and found an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl dead, SPPD has confirmed.

Investigators and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and determined there were no signs of foul play or drug use. A police spokesperson said there were no weapons recovered inside the vehicle.

The cause of death is pending autopsy results.
