A woman died and two other people were wounded in an overnight triple shooting in north Minneapolis, with homicide investigators now working to determine what led to the gunfire.
Fourth Precinct officers were called around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13 for a report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Golden Valley Road, according to a Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson.
A man in his 40s with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds approached paramedics there for help and was taken to North Memorial Medical Center.
Police quickly determined the shooting may have been connected to a ShotSpotter gunfire-detection alert in the 1400 block of Golden Valley Road. Officers who responded to that area were flagged down by a second victim, a woman in her 40s, who also had non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to North Memorial.
