Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and officers discovered several bullet holes in the victim’s friend’s vehicle, which had been struck during the incident.

Surveillance footage captured two vehicles at a red light when the gunfire erupted. Further investigation led officers to Singleton, who was arrested the following day on unrelated misdemeanor warrants. At the time of his arrest, he was found with a loaded Glock 9mm handgun in a crossbody bag, the court documents say.

During questioning, Singleton initially denied involvement in the shooting but later admitted to being at a party on the night of the incident. He became defensive when asked about the shooting and ultimately stopped the interview. Officers recovered spent shell casings from Singleton’s vehicle, linking him to the crime.

Singleton has a significant criminal history, with at least nine prior felony convictions, including a conviction for burglary in the 2nd-degree, which prohibits him from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Singleton is currently in custody at the Ramsey County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18, 2026.
