Officers with the Minneapolis Police Department responded to reports of a man slumped over in a vehicle. Upon arrival, they found Tucker in the driver’s seat, appearing to be asleep. When officers knocked on the window, he woke up and they noticed a firearm in plain view inside the center console. After instructing him to exit the vehicle, a second firearm fell from his waistband onto the ground. Officers then placed Tucker in handcuffs and conducted a search, discovering a large quantity of suspected narcotics on his person.
The suspected narcotics included 86.18 grams of fentanyl, divided into four baggies and 1.56 grams of methamphetamine in another baggie. Tucker spontaneously claimed the narcotics were cocaine. Following the search, officers found a third firearm resting on the driver’s seat and recovered the firearm from the center console.
Tucker has a criminal history that includes prior felony convictions for narcotics, robbery and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Due to the nature of the offenses, bail was requested to ensure public safety.
Tucker is not currently in custody. A court date has not yet been set.
