A man in his 60s died after being found unresponsive in the street late Saturday morning in Minneapolis, police say.

The incident happened around 11:40a.m. April 11 on the 1800 block of Chicago Avenue.

Officers arrived on a report of a man down in the roadway and found the victim with life-threatening injuries. They began CPR before he was taken to Hennepin Healthcare, where he later died.

Investigators are working to determine whether the man was struck by a driver or dragged by a vehicle that left the scene.

Police located a possible suspect vehicle described as a white van on the 1900 block of 10th Avenue South. Forensic scientists processed the scene and collected evidence while traffic and homicide investigators work to determine the sequence of events leading up to the man’s death.

No arrests have been made and authorities have not yet released the man’s identity.
