David Douglas Dady entered a guilty plea for first-degree assault on Monday. In exchange for the guilty plea, a count of attempted second-degree murder was dismissed.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, emergency responders were dispatched just after 10 a.m. on May 4 to the area of Lake George Boulevard NW and Bridge Street NW.

Anoka County deputies responded around 11:55 a.m. after getting reports a driver had struck a motorcyclist from behind while the rider was stopped and waiting to turn. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.

A 57-year-old Oak Grove man is charged with attempted murder and assault after an alleged alcohol-fueled shooting that left his brother severely injured.
