Firefighters forced their way inside, stretched hose lines and began searching the home as they worked to bring the fire under control. They found heavy fire in the basement that had burned a hole through to the first floor.
During the search, crews located an adult victim on the second floor in a bedroom. Firefighters raised a ladder to the window and carried the person down to safety before turning them over to paramedics, who transported the victim to the hospital in serious condition.
