Authorities say a passerby called police on June 25, reporting they thought there may have been a body lying just off the roadway near the intersection of Legend Lane & Killian Road in Fort Ripley Township. Authorities arrived and confirmed the woman was deceased.

Man in Custody After Woman Fatally Struck in Wyoming Gas Station Lot

Officers were dispatched around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, June 22 for the report of a pedestrian struck by a driver who fled the scene after a domestic disturbance. The suspect vehicle was reported to be a white GMC pickup and officers quickly established suspect information. A medical helicopter landed nearby to transport the woman to the hospital, but it was canceled after she died of her injuries at the scene.

Minneapolis police say a man was fatally struck by a Light Rail train at the Warehouse District station downtown around 1 a.m. Saturday after a "physical altercation" with another man on the platform. The victim reportedly fell onto the tracks after the altercation on the platform near at 5th St. & 1st Ave., was struck by an oncoming train and was later pronounced dead.
