Man Found Shot to Death Inside Vehicle in Saint Paul

A man was shot and killed Monday night inside a vehicle in Saint Paul, marking the city’s second homicide in three days.

A Saint Paul Police spokesperson said the shooting was reported around 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2 on the 100 block of Oneida Street.

Officers arrived and found an adult male inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Officers began life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Saint Paul Police homicide investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting and who is responsible. Authorities have not released suspect information or announced any arrests as of publication.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to positively identify the victim and determine the official cause and manner of death. Police said that information and future case updates will be released by the department.

The homicide follows another fatal shooting reported Saturday, Jan. 31 on the 900 block of York Avenue. In that case, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after the shooting was reported around 2:25 p.m. Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
