Police Investigate Shooting That Wounded 4 In Saint Paul

Four men were hurt in a shooting late Monday afternoon In Saint Paul, according to police.

Officers were called shortly after 4:30 p.m. to the area of 4th Street East and Earl Street after several 911 callers reported gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found two men down in the intersection and two more behind a home on the 1000 block of 4th Street East. All four had gunshot wounds described as non life threatening.

Officers brought in K9 and drone teams to search the blocks around the scene for any additional victims and to search for evidence. Investigators are still working to determine who fired the shots and how the four men are connected to the incident. Police said they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.

As officers responded, a Saint Paul Police Officer was involved in a crash with an SUV at Maryland Avenue East and Arcade Street. No one was hurt and that collision remains under investigation. Police said the shooting investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
