Police Arrest 65-Year-Old After Deadly Shooting In Minneapolis
Minneapolis police say a woman was shot and killed Wednesday evening, and a 65-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her death.
Officers responded around 5:46 p.m. Nov. 5 to a reported shooting on the 2600 block of West Broadway.

When they arrived, they found a woman who had been shot. Paramedics declared the woman dead at the scene.
According to police, initial information indicates the woman was inside an apartment with a male acquaintance when he fired shots that struck her. Investigators recovered a firearm and a knife from the living room floor.
The suspect, a 65-year-old man who has not yet been identified, was taken into custody and booked into the Hennepin County Jail. Minneapolis forensic scientists processed the scene and collected evidence while homicide investigators continued to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the woman’s identity along with the official cause and manner of death.
