A man is charged with second-degree murder in the Nov. 1 shooting death of Roshadie Suggs, 36, who was shot in the neck on the steps of a Duluth rental house after an argument over money, according to the complaint.
Malik Bruce Moore, 26, is charged in Saint Louis County District Court with second-degree murder with intent, a felony. He also faces a felony count of threats of violence and a felony count of unlawful firearm possession. The complaint was filed Nov. 4.
According to the complaint, Suggs called 911 at about 2:44 a.m. from the concrete steps outside a rental house in the 200 block of East Sixth Street and said he had been shot and was dying. He was taken to a hospital and later declared dead. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death a gunshot wound of the neck.

The complaint says Moore was waiting at the house when Suggs and a woman who sometimes stays there came back. After a while Moore told the women present it was time to leave because he needed a private conversation with Suggs. He told one of them he would pistol-whip her if she stayed, according to the complaint. She left at about 2:25 a.m.
That left Moore and Suggs alone on the stoop, where they argued over money, the complaint says. Neighbors’ home surveillance audio and video recorded a gunshot at about 2:42 a.m. The complaint says Moore then ran on foot toward a home two blocks away.
Police waited outside that home. Moore showed up at 7:44 a.m. and was taken into custody, according to the complaint. He declined to give a statement. The woman he threatened picked him out of a photo lineup, the complaint says.
The complaint says Moore has a prior felony conviction.
