A man was hit twice in the back of the head with a chain at the Union Gospel Mission in Duluth after he pulled out a knife, according to a criminal complaint.

Corey David Krube, 30, is charged in Saint Louis County District Court with third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm.

The complaint says Duluth police were called to the mission at about 5:18 p.m. on October 26. The man told officers Krube came up holding a chain with a ball on the end and accused him of threatening his family, which he denied. The man said Krube grabbed his bike. He told Krube to leave him alone and pulled out a knife when he saw the chain, he told police.
