Emergency responders were called to a south Minneapolis residence Saturday night after multiple people were found unresponsive inside.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. at a home on the 3400 block of Third Avenue South. According to police, Minneapolis Fire Department personnel and Hennepin Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene first, followed by officers who assisted with the response.
One man, believed to be in his 30s, was transported and died at the hospital. Three other men—two in their 30s and one in his 40s—were treated for overdose symptoms and police did not immediately provide information on their conditions.
No arrests have been made and the Minneapolis Police Department has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not yet released further details and the medical examiner will determine the official cause of the man’s death.
Police have not said what substances may have been involved and no additional information about the individuals has been disclosed as of publication.
