When they arrived, they found the victim with a life-threatening stab wound. Medical crews attempted lifesaving measures, but the man died at the scene. His name and cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Investigators say the suspect ran from the area before officers arrived. Several witnesses were interviewed, and police documented the scene with the help of crime lab personnel. The area was taped off for hours as homicide investigators processed evidence and canvassed the neighborhood.
