Man Dies After Motorcycle Hits Deer in Isanti County
A man from rural Cambridge died after a motorcycle crash involving a deer late Tuesday night in Stanford Township.
Just before 11:15 p.m. on July 8, dispatchers received a report of a crash near the 27000 block of Variolite Street Northwest.

According to the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived and determined that the motorcycle had struck a deer. The rider, identified as 58-year-old William Windhauser, was reportedly experiencing respiratory distress when first responders arrived and began lifesaving efforts.

Windhauser was transported by North Air Care to North Memorial Hospital. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed the next day that he died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
