Duluth Police Arrest Son After Mother Found Shot Dead

 

Duluth Police say they arrested a man after finding his mother shot to death Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called just before 2 p.m. to the 1500 block of North 9th Avenue East, where they found 74-year-old Maedean Davin dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police took her son, 46-year-old Nathan Davin, into custody at the scene without incident. He was booked into the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of second-degree murder.

Investigators have not said what led up to the shooting, but they confirmed the case remains active and ongoing.

No further details have been released as of publication and a booking photo for Davin was not yet available.
