Columbia Heights Townhomes Hit With Gunfire, No Victims Found
A barrage of gunfire struck a row of townhomes in Columbia Heights early Friday, with a shooter reportedly “spraying” the area with rounds.
According to initial police radio traffic reviewed by MN CRIME, around 7:42 a.m. on Nov. 14, officers from Columbia Heights, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Fridley Police, Blaine Police and Ramsey Police were sent to the 500 block of Huset Parkway NE on reports of shots being heard.

When they arrived, officers found spent cartridge cases scattered near the townhomes and said it appeared the shooter had indiscriminately fired, impacting the structure in multiple locations.
Despite the amount of gunfire reported, police said there were no known victims at the scene, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said. There have been no arrests yet made and investigators have not released any information about a possible suspect or motive. The total number of casings recovered was not available as of early Friday afternoon.

The Columbia Heights Police Department and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are leading the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Anoka County’s non-emergency line at 763-427-1212.
