Three others had non-fatal injuries and a fifth man was later located with a suspected graze wound, though he reportedly declined medical help.
Investigators believe the gunfire started near the Midtown Greenway and continued from a nearby ramp, with at least several dozen shots fired. Two victims were found in the north tower of the transit station and the others were located along the path to the Greenway, the radio transmissions said.
No arrests have been made as of publication.

Officials said the area has been the site of repeated shootings, including two incidents in August. In response, temporary fencing was erected Monday night to block the walkway between Lake Street and the Greenway, with MnDOT set to install permanent fencing later this week, KSTP-TV reported.
The investigation remains active and anyone with information is asked to call MPD at 612-673-5701.
