When they arrived, officers encountered a chaotic scene with a large and uncooperative crowd made up of both adults and juveniles. Two people were found with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to Regions Hospital by paramedics. A third gunshot victim arrived at Regions in a private vehicle and was reportedly uncooperative with police.

Medics reported that a 21-year-old man had been shot in the lower abdomen, and a 16-year-old boy had been shot in the right leg. A tourniquet was applied at the scene before transport. The third victim also sustained a leg wound, though details about that person’s age or involvement remain unclear.

Police recovered numerous shell casings outside a third-floor balcony near the rooftop pool area. The suspect was described as a Black male with a goatee, wearing a gray hat, white sweatshirt and pants, and black Crocs. He was reportedly armed with a black handgun and had fled the scene before officers arrived.

As family members gathered at Regions Hospital, staff temporarily placed the facility on lockdown as a precaution.

Investigators with the Non-Fatal Shooting Unit responded and are working to determine what led to the gunfire and to identify any suspects. No arrests have been announced.
