A man arrested on outstanding warrants during a Minneapolis traffic stop in December had 277 grams of methamphetamine and 34 grams of cocaine in his pockets, according to a criminal complaint filed in October.

Mohamed Salman Abdi, who was 28 at the time of the alleged offense, is charged in Hennepin County District Court with two counts of first-degree drug sale, first-degree drug possession and second-degree drug possession. Prosecutors asked that the complaint be issued by warrant.

The complaint says officers stopped a vehicle in Minneapolis on December 17 for a passenger known to have several active warrants. Abdi got out of the back of the vehicle and was arrested on the warrants.

A search turned up four packages of cocaine weighing 34.12 grams in total and one package of methamphetamine weighing 277.05 grams, found in his jacket and pants pockets. He also had $1,835 in cash, which the complaint calls an indication he possessed the drugs to sell.
