A woman holding her baby ran into the street as a man in a ski mask chased her with a handgun and threatened to shoot her in Saint Paul, according to the complaint.
Lajuan Antjuan Miller, 19, is charged in Ramsey County District Court with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and threats of violence, in a complaint filed October 30.
The complaint says officers responded to a domestic assault call in Saint Paul at about 2:15 a.m. on October 30 after a woman reported that Miller was chasing her with a gun and threatening to shoot her. Officers met the victim nearby, where she told police she had gone to Miller’s residence to pick up money for her baby.

While the victim waited outside, she heard a woman inside the residence threatening her. The complaint states Miller then came out wearing a black ski mask, raised a handgun with both hands and pointed it at the victim while she was holding her 7-month-old baby.
The victim said she ran away into the street with her baby, fearing for their lives, as Miller chased her with the gun and shouted, “You scared?” and “Why you running?” She told police that Miller stopped chasing her after she said she was going to call the police.
According to the complaint, the victim described the gun to officers and said she had received multiple threatening text messages from Miller. She also told police she might have a picture of Miller with the handgun.
Police obtained a search warrant for the residence. The complaint says officers found four firearms inside, including one that matched the description the victim provided. Miller was arrested at the scene.
During a post-Miranda interview, Miller told police there were two firearms in the residence, which he said belonged to another person and denied having seen or touched either of them.
