The victim told officers that Sun hit her on the hip with a gun, pointed it in the air and said she had two minutes to run before Sun shot her. The witness said he intervened, wrestling the gun away from Sun, then emptied the bullets and left the home with the victim. The witness gave the gun and the bullets to officers.
The victim told officers that she and the witness were at the home while Sun and another adult were out of town, and that she was still there when they returned. She said she hid in a bedroom but Sun discovered she was in the house, then came into the bedroom with the loaded gun, hit her on the hip and threatened to shoot.
The complaint says that after Sun was taken into custody, the victim told officers Sun had harassed her before, including telling her to kill herself, and that officers had come to the home and taken a report.
The charges allege that Sun assaulted the victim with a firearm and threatened to commit a crime of violence with purpose to terrorize or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing terror.
The charges were filed September 30 in Washington County District Court.
