A Lakeville man fired multiple gunshots at a Minneapolis duplex in early September, striking the building several times before fleeing the scene in a rideshare vehicle, according to charges.
Ramaius Lovell Sinoe-Walker, 20, faces three felony charges: second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, prohibited person in possession of ammunition or a firearm and intentional discharge of a firearm that endangered safety.
According to the complaint, Minneapolis police responded to the 1000 block of 20th Avenue Southeast at about 6:43 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, after reports of gunfire. Officers found nine discharged cartridge casings in the street and six bullet holes in the northeast corner of a duplex. Several residents were inside at the time, but no one was injured.

Witnesses told officers they heard gunshots and saw a man dressed in all black, wearing a black face mask and a red or orange backpack, running north from the area. At least one witness reported seeing the man fire toward a nearby house in what appeared to be a random manner.
Investigators recovered surveillance video showing the suspect emerging from a wooded area north of the scene, matching the clothing and backpack described by witnesses. The video shows the man changing clothes in a parking lot, putting on light-colored jeans and a green shirt, and leaving behind a black sweatshirt. Officers later recovered the sweatshirt.
The suspect then entered the backseat of a red Hyundai, which officers determined was a rideshare vehicle. Records from Lyft showed a ride was ordered at 6:46 p.m. from a nearby address by “Ramaius Sinoe-Walker,” with a drop-off in Hopkins. Surveillance video from the Hopkins address showed Sinoe-Walker arriving at about 7:13 p.m., wearing the same jeans, green shirt and red backpack seen in earlier footage.
Officers interviewed Sinoe-Walker after his arrest in a separate shooting on September 11. He denied being in Minneapolis on September 8 and claimed he had spent the entire day with another person, providing that person’s address, which matched the rideshare drop-off location. When confronted with this information, he ended the interview. Officers collected a DNA sample from Sinoe-Walker, and forensic testing found his DNA on the recovered sweatshirt as part of a three-person mixture.
On September 23, officers executed a search warrant at Sinoe-Walker’s apartment and found jeans and a black face mask consistent with those worn by the shooter. The complaint says Sinoe-Walker was adjudicated delinquent of first-degree aggravated robbery in 2023, which prohibits him from possessing firearms or ammunition.
The charges were filed Friday, September 25, in Hennepin County District Court.
