Police have taken three juveniles into custody in connection with a shooting that injured a man in Hinckley.
Mille Lacs Tribal Police and the Pine County Sheriff’s Office responded around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, September 20, to the 3200 block of Wigwaas Street after a 911 call reporting a shooting.
Officers found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. He was flown to a Twin Cities hospital and was in stable condition, according to an update from tribal police.

Investigators executed multiple search warrants and recovered a firearm buried in the woods near Wigwaas Street. Police said the three juveniles were taken into custody Monday in connection with the shooting. The department did not release their ages or say whether any charges had been filed.
