A Minneapolis man pulled a gun during a shoe sale meetup in Golden Valley and robbed the buyer of cash, then threatened to shoot him if he did not call an Uber, according to new charges.
Xzavion Dashaun Martin, 21, faces a charge of first-degree aggravated robbery, according to a complaint filed Monday in Hennepin County District Court.
Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Unity Avenue North at about 8:26 p.m. on August 8 after the victim reported being robbed. The victim told officers he had arranged to buy shoes from Martin after meeting him at a park earlier that day. When the victim arrived at the townhouse complex to complete the purchase, Martin approached him with a gun instead of the shoes.

The victim handed over $280 in cash, and Martin left the area. Shortly after, Martin texted the victim, demanding that he call an Uber for him or Martin would “pop” the victim, according to the complaint.
Officers located Martin at a residence and conducted a search. Inside, police found cash matching the exact amount taken from the victim and a firearm that matched the description provided by the victim.
Court records show Martin was convicted of felony theft in Hennepin County on July 11, 2025. He is also on conditional release for a second-degree aggravated robbery case.
