2 Shot in Robbinsdale Park; Woman Critically Injured

A woman was critically wounded and a man seriously injured in a shooting at a Robbinsdale park late Sunday night.
Robbinsdale officers were in the area of County Road 81 and 40th Avenue North around 9:22 p.m. when they heard multiple gunshots coming from the east.
At the same time, 911 callers reported gunfire at Sanborn Park, located on the 4200 block of Drew Avenue North, the Robbinsdale Police Department said.

Officers arrived to find a chaotic scene and located a 19-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers immediately provided life-saving aid before the woman was taken by paramedics to North Memorial Health Hospital with what police described as “grave injuries.”
While officers worked to secure the scene and search for additional victims, little information was offered by those present. A large perimeter was established around the park as investigators began collecting evidence.

At 10:06 p.m., Robbinsdale police were notified that a man in his 20s had arrived at Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound reportedly sustained in Robbinsdale. He was later transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries.
Crime scene investigators from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office assisted in processing the scene.
As of late Monday morning, no arrests have been announced and authorities have not released any suspect information.
