The first fire was reported just after 5:30 a.m. Sunday at 3342 41st Avenue South. Crews arrived to find flames coming from the back of the 1½-story home, with fire spreading into the attic. Everyone inside made it out before crews arrived and one resident was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation. Firefighters had to spend extended time overhauling the clutter-filled home before the fire was fully out. The fire caused three adults to be displaced.

Around 8:54 p.m., crews responded to a second fire at 3350 Bryant Avenue North. Flames were showing from the rear porch of a 1½-story home and had spread to the kitchen by the time firefighters made entry. All floors were searched and cleared. No injuries were reported, but the home sustained significant smoke and fire damage. Ten occupants of the home were displaced.

Just after 12:50 a.m. Monday, a third fire was reported at a residential duplex at 2605 and 2607 Emerson Avenue South. Crews arrived to find a large fire on the back porch that had reached the third floor and roof eaves. The fire had also spread inside to the second and third floors.

As crews worked inside, the exterior fire flared up again and extended to a detached garage and nearby power lines. A second alarm was called to bring in more resources, and Xcel Energy responded due to the damaged power line. Crews extinguished both the garage and interior fires, pulling siding and roof flashing and opening walls and ceilings to reach remaining hotspots. The porch eventually collapsed from fire damage. No injuries were reported and all searches were clear. The home was deemed uninhabitable and three residents were displaced.

All three fires are being investigated by Minneapolis FD officials. An update on the injured resident was not available as of publication.
