Authorities allege Michael John Rojas, 55, who has no permanent address, arranged for the shipment to be delivered to a home along Hawthorne Avenue East in Saint Paul on Feb. 20.

The package was shipped from California before being seized at the airport and used in a series of controlled deliveries across the Twin Cities.

The Hawker 800XP jet—which was traveling from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie—was diverted to MSP after the pilots reported the issue around 10:20 p.m.

The arrest came after a package was located at a UPS facility at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where officers flagged a suspicious package due to having an incomplete address that originated from San Bernardino.

Authorities say the thefts spanned nearly a year, beginning in June 2023. The investigation began on May 7, 2024, when Delta security identified an eBay account under the username "oreosita" selling missing Delta inventory, including items intended for employee gifts.

Police say on May 16, Ladale Jajaun Solomon Jr., 29, had arrived on an inbound flight to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on a flight from Los Angeles and was scheduled to make a connecting flight to Cleveland, Ohio. He had checked a 59 pound suitcase on the flight, which a certified d
