A suspect allegedly pulled up to an acquaintance's driveway in Fridley , demanded $100 and then fired rounds into the man's minivan as he tried to drive away. Darien Leray Mansell , 23, of Fridley, faces felony charges of attempted second-degree murder, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, first-degree aggravated robbery and drive-by shooting toward an occupied motor vehicle.
A woman and her 5-year-old son were killed in a shooting at an Anoka County home and the suspect has now been identified. The woman's estranged partner is in custody at the Anoka County Jail .
Court records show that Kendra Faye Dunblazier, 30, admitted to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a prohibited occupational relationship for incidents that occurred between July and Oct. 2024.
Jail staff immediately began life-saving efforts and called for emergency medical services. Allina EMS responded, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified.
