Woman Shot on Midtown Greenway Early Monday Morning

 

Minneapolis police are investigating after a woman was shot early Monday morning on the Midtown Greenway.

Officers responded just after 6 a.m. to the area of Stevens Avenue South and Lake Street East and found the woman with gunshot wounds.

Police said her injuries were not life-threatening. She was transported to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment, police said.

According to initial info, the woman had been confronting a person when another individual fired shots in her direction. Investigators are working to determine the full sequence of events that led to the shooting.

No arrests had been made as of late Monday. Authorities said the case remains active as they continue to review evidence and interview witnesses.
