Woman Dies After Rollover Crash on I-694 in Arden Hills

A 21-year-old woman died Tuesday evening after a rollover crash on Interstate 694 in Arden Hills.
The crash left her two passengers with non-life-threatening injuries after the vehicle rolled.

The Minnesota State Patrol said 21-year-old Fatuma Yussuf Sharif-Isaack was driving a 2011 white Subaru Legacy west on Interstate 694 near Highway 10 around 6:26 p.m. when it moved from the right lane to the left shoulder and struck a guardrail. The car rolled over, hit a 2021 Honda CR-V, and came to rest on its right side.
Authorities say Sharif-Issack was not wearing a seatbelt. She was transported to Hennepin Healthcare where she died.

Two passengers in the Subaru, a 20-year-old woman from Fridley and a 21-year-old woman from Brooklyn Park were taken to Hennepin Healthcare with non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol noted it was undetermined if the 21-year-old was wearing a seatbelt
The driver of the Honda CR-V, a 41-year-old woman of Maplewood, was not hurt.
The State Patrol said road conditions were dry at the time. Authorities have not said what may have led to the crash.
