Woman Dies After Late-Night Stabbing in St. Cloud

 

Police say a woman died after being found stabbed in St. Cloud late Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of East St. Germain Street around 11:24 p.m. on Sept. 23 following a 911 hang-up.

When police arrived, they found an adult woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers and medical crews attempted lifesaving measures before she was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where she later died.

Authorities said a 26-year-old man from St. Cloud was at the scene and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Benton County Jail on charges connected to the homicide. Police confirmed the man and woman knew each other and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with processing the scene as the investigation continues. Police have not yet released the names of those involved while family notifications are being made.
