A 25-year-old woman died after a crash late Sunday night in Bloomington that authorities say may have involved alcohol.

When they arrived, officers found a 25-year-old woman unresponsive inside a sedan. She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died.

According to initial information from Bloomington police, the sedan had been traveling southbound on Old Cedar Avenue when it crossed the center line and collided with a minivan traveling northbound.

The sedan was also occupied by a 29-year-old Bloomington resident. The minivan had two occupants, a 46-year-old driver from Maple Grove and a 51-year-old passenger from Bloomington. The 29-year-old and both people from the minivan were taken to Southdale Hospital with injuries described as minor.

Bloomington police said alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet released the name of the woman who died.
