A woman died Friday evening after being struck by a driver in rural northeastern Minnesota.
First responders attempted lifesaving measures upon arrival, but the adult female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities with the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident with assistance from the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials said the death appears to be unintentional and all individuals involved have been identified.
Meadowlands Township is located about 30 miles northwest of Duluth. The victim’s name and additional details have not been released as the investigation continues, with family notifications still underway.
