Landon Robert Smith is charged with two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, along with felony counts for possessing a firearm without a serial number and carrying a pistol without a permit. He is also charged with misdemeanor falsely reporting a crime.

Officers responded around 5:15 p.m. Saturday to the 7200 block of East Point Douglas Road, where callers reported shots fired in the loading dock area behind a retail center.

Sherburne County authorities say the man, identified as Zha Vang, 51, of Elk River, was taken into custody outside the building shortly after the incident, which occurred around 9:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Officers were first dispatched around 10:45 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 3800 block of Willow Ridge Drive Southwest for a reported domestic dispute. Initial info indicated a man involved was armed with a knife, but he left the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.

According to charges filed Monday, 18-year-old Abdulahi Jama Ali and 18-year-old Abdikani Mukhtar Abdiwahab were arrested after police say shots were fired from a car occupied by the pair during a disturbance on school grounds.

The charges stem from the May 1 incident that sent Metro State into lockdown and left a red Ford Explorer riddled with bullet holes outside a nearby residence. The lockdown lasted about 25 minutes and there were no injuries reported.

According to criminal complaints filed in Hennepin County, Kashmir McReynolds, 35, and Alvin Watkins Jr., 50, were involved in an exchange of gunfire near 36th Avenue North and Penn Avenue North on March 10.

Deputies on scene determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic assault. When contacted by phone, he refused to come outside, made threats and claimed to have multiple firearms.

According to preliminary information, the officer initiated a short pursuit after the shots were fired. During the chase, the suspect reportedly continued shooting at the pursuing officer.

Police responded to multiple 911 calls around 7:45 p.m. on December 22nd, reporting gunshots on the ninth floor of an apartment building on Ada Street.
