According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the drivers of a Chevrolet Corvette and Toyota Corolla made contact just west of Manning Avenue on Interstate 94 around 2:14 p.m.

Lakes Area PD said Chisago County dispatchers got an automated cell-phone crash alert around 1:58 a.m., near Stacy Trail & Ivywood Trail. Responding officers found the chaotic scene, with several critical injuries and wreckage strewn across the roadway.

The Prius driver, identified as 88-year-old Ruth Ann Brockert Marshall, of Winona, was taken to Winona Health where she died from her injuries.

First responders arrived to find the fire truck on its side in the west ditch. The truck had been traveling north when it overturned with three people inside.

Investigators say a 2016 Peterbilt dump truck was backing up in the construction area when it hit the contractor, who was on foot. The victim’s identity will be released Friday, officials said.
