University of Minnesota police say protesters at Morrill Hall disrupted campus operations Monday, causing property damage and blocking building access.
Around 4:39 p.m., the pro-Palestine demonstrators reportedly entered the administrative building on the East Bank, damaged property and stopped people from entering or exiting.

Authorities asked those inside to leave the building and urged others to stay away from the area. Officials say once inside, the protesters began spray painting and covering lenses of internal security cameras, breaking interior windows and barricading the building’s entrance.
UMPD officers responded to the scene, working to secure the building and monitor the situation. As of Monday night, jail records show that policearrested 11 peopleon probable cause for riot, trespassing and property damage.
By around 9:10 p.m., UMPD confirmed that the protest had concluded and Morrill Hall was cleared. Officials said the situation has been resolved for the evening.
According to Hennepin County Jail records, all eleven people who were arrested had been released by Wednesday afternoon and no charges had yet been filed.
