Officers arriving at the scene found the damaged vehicle but found no one inside. Additional officers entered the building to check on her without knowing whether she was connected to the crash.

Police made contact with a 36-year-old woman inside the building and later determined she was possibly the driver of the vehicle that struck the retaining wall. Authorities said the woman cooperated with the crash investigation and was given a ride home. The vehicle was towed due to damage sustained in the crash. It’s unclear if any charges will be filed.
During the investigation, officers learned federal agents had attempted to stop the vehicle before the crash to arrest a different passenger who had been inside the car. City officials said Robbinsdale police had no prior knowledge of the federal enforcement attempt when officers responded to the crash scene.
“The Robbinsdale Police Department had no knowledge of this prior to arriving on the scene of the reported crash. The Robbinsdale Police Department does not cooperate with ICE agents,” the city said in a media release.
Officials have not released additional information about the passenger federal agents were attempting to arrest.
