A Brooklyn Park man allegedly broke into two homes in his own neighborhood within a week, threatening two women at gunpoint and attempting to sexually assault both before fleeing, according to newly filed charges.

Darius Ahmadd Olson-Baker, 25, faces two counts of attempted first-degree criminal sexual conduct, four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of first-degree burglary. The charges were filed Thursday, July 23, in Hennepin County District Court.

According to the complaint, officers responded to a home on the 7600 block of Hampshire Avenue North around 5 a.m. on July 17 after a report of an armed burglar. The victim, an adult woman, told officers she had just returned to bed when Olson-Baker entered her bedroom, pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.
