Bicyclist Fatally Injured in Tuesday Night Crash in Chisholm

A 22-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed Tuesday evening in a crash with a vehicle at a Chisholm intersection, according to police.

Officers responded around 7:03 p.m. to the intersection of Lake Street and 2nd Avenue, where they found the bicyclist critically injured.

Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old man from Chisholm, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Initial information from police indicates there were no signs of impairment involved.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the bicyclist or driver, pending family notification.

The crash remains under investigation by the Chisholm Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
