Belle Plaine Woman, 23, Dies In Le Sueur County Crash
A 23-year-old Belle Plaine woman died Thursday morning after authorities say she drove through a stop sign and collided with a van pulling a trailer.
According to the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called just after 7 a.m. to the intersection of 211th Avenue and 320th Street in Derrynane Township.

A Chevrolet Malibu traveling north on 211th Avenue entered the intersection and struck a Chevrolet Express van that was pulling a car hauler trailer loaded with another van.
The Malibu driver, identified as 23-year-old Mackenzie Glaser, died at the scene. A one-year-old girl riding in her car was taken by ambulance to a hospital for observation. It’s unknown if Glaser was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the van, a 49-year-old man of Carver, and his two passengers, and 18-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy, were not hurt.
The crash is under investigation. The Montgomery Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, New Prague Fire Department, Le Center Ambulance Service and North Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
