Two men died after a pickup truck and a box truck collided at an Isanti County intersection Monday, and the sheriff’s office says witnesses told authorities the pickup driver did not stop at a stop sign.

The crash happened just after noon on Oct. 5 at 389th Avenue Northwest and Palm Street Northwest in Maple Ridge Township, according to the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities learned from witnesses that the driver of the pickup truck was southbound on Palm Street Northwest and did not stop at the stop sign, causing a T-bone crash with the box truck, the sheriff’s office said. The box truck was eastbound on 389th Avenue Northwest.
