A 76-year-old Minneota man died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 68 northwest of Marshall, the Minnesota State Patrol says.

The crash happened at 2:24 p.m. on June 5 in Westerheim Township in Lyon County, according to the State Patrol. Both drivers were heading east on the highway when the two vehicles collided.

Edward Joseph Lozinski, 76, of Minneota, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hailey Elizabeth Pederson, 21, of Echo, was driving a 2018 GMC Terrain and was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Marshall ER.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to an incident report. Alcohol was not suspected for either driver, and road conditions were dry.

The State Patrol did not say how the two vehicles collided. The Minneota Fire Department and First Responders, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
