A man suffered a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound in an alley near the intersection of E. Franklin Ave. & 2nd Ave. S. in Minneapolis on Wednesday evening.
Fifth Precinct officers responded to reports of a shooting around 8:20 p.m. on March 25.

Officers found the man at the intersection with a gunshot wound. Preliminary information indicates he was shot in a nearby alley and ran to the intersection, where officers located him, according to a Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson.
Paramedics transported the man to Hennepin Healthcare and an update on his condition was not available as of publication.

Officers secured the scene and canvassed the area, with forensic scientists processing the scene and collecting evidence.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and police have not yet made any arrests.
